Jennifer Willis: Bio
A bit about me....
I am a writer, editor, teacher, dancer, healer, interfaith minister, researcher, and communications professional (among other pursuits). I sometimes get winded trying to keep up with myself. While I am generally a solo act, I do play nicely with others.
My current "title string" is something along the lines of: Reverend Jennifer S. Willis, CHt. But please, call me Jen.
In my writing, my main areas of expertise and interest are religion/spirituality and sustainable living, and I somemtimes wonder if I shouldn't instead have been a religious anthropologist, or an environmental scientist.
I received my bachelor's degree in religion from Duke University (1991), hold a certificate in film and video studies from the University of Southern California (1991), have been through the Center for Creative Leadership's Leadership Development Program (1998), and am a graduate and interfaith ordinand of the New Seminary (2001). Additionally, I am a certified hypnotherapist and a master in a number of energy healing modalities. I am currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Metaphysical Sciences (est. 2008). I even did some archaeology field training earlier this year.
I am a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and Women in Portland Publishing.
A Virginia native, I now reside in Oregon, in the company of cats and dogs.
