the project
Witches' Brew will be my project for NaNoWriMo 2004.
I first found out about this 30-day challenge last year and had hoped to participate, but real life intervened and I never even got started. However, the first seed of an idea for Witches' Brew was then planted. Over the last year, the characters and plot have changed significantly, but I figured since I'm starting work on this novel anyway, I might as well use NaNoWriMo as a means of giving myself an ambitious deadline and a kick in the pants.
This blog will serve as a space to post new material -- possibly even the entire book (first draft), in increments, though I do tend to work out of sequence -- and to share the experience of trying to write 50,000 words or more in 30 days. I'll celebrate my birthday in November, while all this is going on, but I imagine I'll just spend that day writing as well.
Witches's Brew will be my second book. My first, rhythm was released in 2001 by Ravenwald Studio Press and is available on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble online. This will be my first time participating in NaNoWriMo, and I'm very much looking forward to it.
In the meantime, I will also be maintaining my "regular" weblog, thoughts from the spiral.

Hi Rv Jen...
Looking forward to reading more, but I have one request, would you mind exporting a feed, that way I can find out automagically when you post. It's under your settings, site feed.
Thanks!
